CARRBORO, N.C. -- Jones Ferry Road from the intersection at W. Main Street to the intersection at Old Fayetteville Road will be undergoing roadwork in a NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) project starting on Monday, July 8.
The project includes milling and micro-milling, paving, and installing pavement markings. The pavement marking plan will include the protected eastbound bike lane and a new buffered westbound bike lane.
Weather permitting, work is anticipated to be completed within two weeks with crews working Sunday night through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians should stay alert when traveling in this area and anticipate temporary lane closures until the project is completed.
