CARRBORO, NC. -- On Aug. 6, 2023, at 7:27 p.m., the Carrboro Police Department responded to a report of a subject that assaulted a female at the Food Lion located at 602 Jones Ferry Road. Officers located the suspect and identified him as Antione Brooks, 39, of Carrboro. He was charged with one count of Second Degree Forcible Sexual Offense, a felony, and his bond was set at $20,000. He was confined in the Orange County Jail.
