The Carrboro Town Council met virtually Tuesday, Feb. 9, on the agenda https://bit.ly/3rx4C1X and took the following actions:
- Permanent closing of a portion of the Maple Avenue Right of Way: The Council set a hearing for March 9 on a request to permanently close a portion of the Maple Avenue right-of-way.
- Group Letter to Submit Public Comments to the North Carolina Utilities Commission Concerning Duke Energy's 2020 Integrated Resource Plan: The Council signed onto a group letter to submit public comments to the North Carolina Utilities Commission concerning Duke Energy's 2020 Integrated Resource Plan.
- Text Amendments to the Land Use Ordinance Relating to the Historic Rogers Road Neighborhood: The Council adopted proposed text amendments to the Land Use Ordinance to establish a new zoning district and associated development standards for the Historic Rogers Road neighborhood.
- Local transit capital projects for the Orange County Transit Plan Update: The Council approved the proposed capital projects to improve transit access, directed staff to continue working to incorporate these projects into the Orange County Transit Plan Update, and provided comments
