Thursday (Jan. 20) Afternoon UPDATE -- A Winter Storm Advisory is in effect for our area from 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 20) until 4 a.m. Sunday.
Forecasters predict the storm will arrive as mixed precipitation on Thursday (Jan. 20), followed by a round of snow on Friday night into Saturday. How much accumulation is still unclear. With temperatures at or below freezing for much of the weekend, melting won't begin until Sunday afternoon. If we have measurable snowfall, we could have treacherous roads for days. Plan to buy groceries and stay home by Thursday night.
